New Classes This Fall in San Carlos

I'm happy to say that this fall I will be offering classes in San Carlos.  I will be teaching both crochet and knitting.  I'm so pleased to be working with the City of San Carlos.

I will be offering beginning and advanced classes for both crafts. The facility in San Carlos is very nice. The classrooms are arranged in an organized why that will give each student a work area.  The layout of the room also gives me the freedom to walk around to each student to assist.

I've met so many wonderful people while teaching and look forward to the fall classes.  I hope to see you there.

Beginning Crochet - You will learn how to create amazing gifts with a ball of yarn and a hook.  Learn the basic stitches in crochet like single crochet, double crochet and much much more.  With this class you will create fun scarves and beautiful blankets.  Supplies: one ball of variegated worsted weight yarn and a 5mm hook.  Children 9 years and older are welcomed to sign up with a registered parent.

                         Sept. 13 - Oct. 4   9:00am - 10:30am  Adult Center

Advanced Beginning Crochet - Now that you have the basic crochet stitches down it's time to learn to read and work patterns.  This class will show you increases, decreases, and working in the round.  Intermediate students are welcome and will be working a different project.   Supplies:  2-3 balls of worsted weight yarn (one for practice and two for a project) and a variety of hooks.  Children 9 years and older are welcomed to sign up along with a registered parent.

Date and Time:  Oct. 15 - Nov. 5   6:30pm - 8:00pm   Adult Center

Beginning Knit - Be introduced to the world of knitting! This class you will learn a number of knitting techniques in order to create fun scarves to elegant shawls.   Supplies:  one ball of "chunky" yarn and a set of 10' straight knitting needles.  Children 9 years and older are welcomed to sign up along with a registered parent.

                         Oct. 25 - Nov. 15  9:00am - 10:30am  Adult Center

Advanced Beginning Knit - Take purling and knitting to the next level.  You will learn a new techniques like increases, decreases, ribbing and simple cables.   Supplies: 2 - 3 balls of yarn (one for practice and two for a project) and a variety of needles. Children 9 years and older are welcomed to sign up along with a registered parent.
