Crochet Garden

If you haven't seen them you have to check them out.

This summer a large group of crocheters created flowers that stand in the San Mateo Senior Center garden. And what a beautiful garden it is.

So many participated and we ended up with over 100 flowers. WOW!! These were from current and previous students of mine.  So cool.

The members of the center have really enjoyed the garden and comment daily on how cool it looks. Many mentioned that they to crochet. So I asked them to join us on our next crochet project for the center. Stay tuned to what I have planned. This will take place next year as each year for the past three we have done a yarn bombing at the center.

If you recall the first year was one of the benches in from of the center. The next was the tree in front so all those that pass by could see. It has been so much fun.

Take a look at a few pictures from the garden. The garden will stay up until next month so you have time to check it out. The fall season is approaching so we will take them down before the rain comes; granted we get rain this year.
