This is the 3.3 ounce size that will last a long time.  They offer larger bottles but I would start here at $6.99.  The price of course goes up with the larger bottles.  It only takes a small amount each time you block.

T-pins that work. These are stainless steel so they won't rust. This package is 150 count. You will be surprised how many you use.  With this package you won't run out.

This is one of my blocking tools where you can make it to fit any size project.  And easy to store. I picked this one because the grid help to block with measurement and with a straight line.  There are several square to use and this package has covered all my blocking needs.

This book and has number of fun patterns to work and gives you items to make throughout your home. The instructions at the beginning of the book will help you to understand the method to work corner to corner crochet.

I did a blog post on this book where a number of students joined me in a class where we selected an item from the book and worked the projects.  Students enjoyed the book and have since worked more projects.

For me I loved that the author gives you instructions to make you own design to work a corner to corner pattern.  Here's the link to my post and I'd love to hear your thoughts on the book.

I've been using this book to teach my classes for over 10 years.  It's a great book to have and in my opinion the only resource book you need. The book takes you from this your first project to making garments. It explains tool and items you will need for all projects.  Any edition of this book will work for you.  The colored pictures and step by step instructions explain everything in detail. It's a great reference book for stitches.  Highly recommend to any crochet from beginner to advance. A book I can't teach without.

Please note that this book comes in an few editions. Any editions works just watch pricing. This link will give you the correct book at best price.  They do sell from this link used books too.

Another book I use for teaching. A great book to get you knitting from a beginner to advanced. The one book you will need and no other. Pictures are in color and step by step instructions on stitches.  A great stitch book as well if you want do work your scarf in a different stitch, find it here.  Great projects to work as well.
Note this book comes in different editions, any one will work. This link will give you the best deal and you will see used book listed as well. Great deal.

First Crochet is a great first book to have once you have to beginning stitches learned. Really cute baby items, home items and more.  Note this book is no longer produced but you can find used books with this link. I do recommend it but you really want to read the first few pages of this book to understand the authors method for working the patterns.  I wish they still produced this book, it's that good.

Crochet That Fits is the book I have reverted back to this book on countless occasions.  Perfect for the beginner crocheter.  Once you have your stitches down and have work a scarf or two, check this book out.  You will be making garments with the easiest of stitches.

I have made several of these items.  Check it out.  This is an older book but still has value.  Cheapest version is not on Kindle.

I recommend Crochet Geometry to the intermediate crocheter.  You learn to make garments with specific stitches.  Shaping your garment is needed and seaming pieces together.  This book has a number of really cute items to wear.

60 Quick Knits is one of go to books for knitters.  Once you have your basic stitches down and want something a little more challenging, this is the book. You will make beautiful scarves from this book. There are also hats and gloves you will want to try.

Cascade yarn created this book which is a great yarn company but know you don't have to use Cascade yarn to work these items.  Fun projects you will make over and over again.

Who doesn't love a great knit cowl? Cowgirls the neck's big thin to knit has great gifts for everyone.  I think there maybe only two cowls I have not made from this book and that is only because I've not gotten to it yet.  Did you see how many patterns are offered here.
Have fun with this book.  Remember each pattern recommends a yarn to work it but you can always substitute the yarn.

Modern Crochet is a book packed with fun projects for all levels of crochet. I was seeing the patterns while this book was being made because I was following the author as she was writing the book.  Great book to add to your book shelf.

A great product to shave those items that shed or when yarn starts to peel.

Namaste at Jimmy Beans Wool

Maker's Buddy Case comes in several colors. I love the hook loops and divider with pocket for notepad.  I've had mine for years and love it.  Last price stated $35 so it is a little prices.  You can always go to my starter shopping kit to see the one I created and still use today.  It's perfectly prices and the only one you truly will need. The Namaste version is something nice for you or someone you know.

Namaste Jimmy Bean Snap Bag

This are great to hold your projects for storage or while working them.  The snaps allow you to have your yarn ball in the bag and project out of the bag as you work it.  This way your yarn stays safe and doesn't roll around.  I have these in many different colors.  You will have to see what their current color options are.  This at last look runs for $25.

Stress Relief Balls.

These come in a package of three at strength levels.  I have one or two placed in my project bag or in my yarn ball to grab and squeeze a few time a day.  This helps relieves stress in the hands or forearm.  I recommend this to anyone working continuously with their hands.   Price should be around $10.

Yarn spindle. Great for holding your ball of yarn. Works great and keeps you from chasing it around the room.  Great to set up on the table next to you.   Now this works best on yarn that is already spin into a ball. So if you purchased a skein of yarn you will need to wind it up.

I have used this by placing two balls at once and it worked fine.  Stack the balls.  I found this one around $10.  You can find many handmade ones that are beautifully carved. If interested let me know and I can give you some shops.

Winder Full.  This is a fun tool. It winds your yarn in no time. Seriously. Now you do need a hand held drill to work this but it's easy.  And saves your arm from all the winding.  I got this two years ago and if my spool is empty it's the first thing I go for.  You can purchase a kit for $40.  As you can see not a cheap tool but a fast one.  Something I would put on my Christmas wish list for sure.
