Where are we on the Tree Yarn Bombing?

June 1 is the goal we have set for yarn bombing the tree in San Mateo.

I've received several swatches from students and I'm told there are more coming.  But we are not quit there in accomplishing our goal.  So please send swatches.

Try this pattern out to contribute to our tree.

Ch 6, join with sl st in first ch to form a ring.
Rnd 1: Ch 2 (counts as dc), work 19 more dc in ring; join with sl st in top of beginning ch-3 (20dc)
Rnd2: Ch1, *sc in next st, ch 6, skip next 3 sts; repeat from * 4 more times; join with sl st in first sc.
NOTE: The single crochet stitches of round 2 are anchor stitches for round 3.
Rnd 3: *Ch 1, (sc, hdc, 6dc, hdc, sc) in next ch-6 loop, ch1, sl st around the next anchor st; repeat from * 4 more times; join with sl st in the first sc. Fasten off.

This is a great way to get rid of your stash yarn.

Join me in making our tree beautiful.
